The Restaurant is very popular as they cook everything fresh and was facing problems with Take Away and delivery times, incorrect food orders as they used to accept orders manually over the phone, weekends were especially chaotic. They also had longer table turn around time due to the crowd and staffing issues as their front office staff was over stretched. Long waiting times due to crowds on weekends were leading to diners walking off.
We developed a Mobile responsive website, Web application and a Mobile Application that enabled the restaurant customers to order online from Home and pay as well as reserve their tables and order ahead so that it would be ready once they came in. Orders are directly sent to a printer in the kitchen. Once ready, the Kitchen staff update the front office staff on the system to pick up or deliver the food. The tables in the dining area were QR coded, and the customer are given an option to order food from a digital menu.
The waiting times for the tables reduced by 80% on weekends as people were reserving tables online. Pickup and delivery orders were smooth with 0% errors and their Pickup and Delivery sales increased by 28%. The diners were happy with the introduction of the digital menu and were placing their own orders leading to the front office staff concentrating more on service. An unexpected increase in add on sales was noticed for customers ordering digitally due to smart food suggestions.
